Pakistan Association of Automotive Parts & Accessories Manufacturers (Paapam) has demanded that the new Auto Industry Policy should be finalised in consultation with all the stakeholders. The Auto Industry Policy needs in depth deliberations within the automotive industry. The policy which is premature and not shared with local industry cannot prove successful, Usman Aslam Malik Chairman Paapam said on Wednesday.
While expressing note of reservations Malik said that Prime Minister on his visit to Pakistan Auto Show 2014 had assured that industry would be taken on board before finalisation of any policy related to Auto Industry. He further indicated to take up the matter with Federal Minister for Finance Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar and Federal Minister for Industry. Paapam will support Auto Industry Policy which have win - win situation for all stakeholders, Usman added.
