A high-profile trade delegation of Pakistani businesspeople by the Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FCCI) will leave for Brazil on March 15, on a two-week trip to explore the Brazilian market (seventh largest economy in the world). This FCCI trade delegation to Brazil will be headed by Jamil Ahmad, Chairman of International Affairs and Trade Delegation FCCI and Commercial Advisor to the Embassy of Brazil in Pakistan.
This delegation - formulated by the FCCI, under its dynamic, President Eng Sohail Bin Rasheed, comprises 21 businesspeople from different sectors, like textiles, sugar, machinery, agriculture, poultry, paper & pulp, gems & jewellery, iron & steel, pharmaceuticals, food, IT, service sectors etc. Brazil is the largest trade partner of Pakistan in Latin America and Pakistan's exports to Brazil increased by more than 100 percent from the year 2009 to 2012 - ie from 44 million US dollars to 92 million US dollars in 2012. The Embassy of Brazil believes that this type of business delegation would result in the enhancement of the bilateral trade and of the economic ties between the two countries.-PR
