Aziz Tabba Kidney Centre on Thursday organised a free kidney diseases screening camp to celebrate the World Kidney Day. Aware of its social responsibilities, Aziz Tabba Centre has been organising such camps regularly for the last six years. This year over 450 patients were screened for high blood pressure, diabetes, anemia, chronic kidney disease and obesity.
The screening was done based on the guidelines of the Internal Society of Nephrology for such screening in developing countries. Two public awareness sessions were also organised in this regard where participations showed great interest. Dr Bilal Jamil, Medical Director and Consultant Nephrologist and Dr Adnan Munir consultant urologist of the centre spoke about kidney disease, leading to its failure and how to protect them.-PR
