Complete shutdown was observed in the Indian held Kashmir to protest against the killing of youth by Indian police in Naidkhai area of Bandipora district. According to KMS, call for the shutdown has been given by the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyet Conference, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, and the forum patronised by the veteran Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani. All shops and business establishments are closed while traffic is off the road.
The occupation authorities continue to impose strict curfew in Bandipora district and stringent restrictions in downtown area of occupied Srinagar on the second consecutive day, today, to prevent people from holding demonstrations against the killing. The puppet regime continues to place Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and other Hurriyet leaders. Farhat Ahmad Dar was killed when Indian police opened indiscriminate fire on peaceful protesters in Naidkhai on Friday.
