ACCRA: Cocoa purchases declared to Ghana's Cocobod topped 700,000 tonnes by early May, up from 650,000 tonnes a month earlier, a source with the regulator told Reuters on Thursday.
The West African country, which is the world's number two producer, is expecting to buy around 800,000 tonnes by the close of its main crop harvest at the end of the month, Cocobod and government sources said.
