Good sign for Pakistan team ahead of Lord’s Test
Pakistan, who had beaten Ireland in their inaugural Test, now seem to be ready to face England in the two–match Test series starting from May 24.
The men in green played their last warm-up game against Leicestershire, where batsmen mostly dominated the play and the two-day game was ended up in a draw.
Pacer Mohammad Amir, who was rested in the game, is appeared to have proven his fitness ahead of crucial Lord’s Test against England. Amir was one of several first-choice players rested from this match ahead of the first Test at Lord´s starting Thursday.
He suffered from recurrence of a longstanding knee problem during Pakistan´s preceding five-wicket victory over Test debutants Ireland in Malahide, Dublin completed on Tuesday. The 26-year-old did, however, bowl at a lively pace on the side of the square during the lunch break and is understood not to have suffered any adverse reaction.
It is worth to mention here that Pakistan will play two-Test against England starting from May 24.
