At least seven people including children lost their lives and six other sustained injuries when a speedy dumper hit a parked coaster on Indus Highway at Lakki Shah Saddar near Sehwan on Sunday. According to in-charge Edhi Foundation Hyderabad, the driver of the coaster was replacing the burst tyre when a speedy truck dashed into the coaster as a result of which 13 passenger's sustained injuries.
After receiving information, Edhi ambulances rushed to spot and shifted the injured to Taluka Hospital, Sehwan where seven of them breathed their last.
Five out of seven deceased were identified as Yameen (45), Faizan (10), Afshan (8), Arsalan (8), Soofia (7) and Sana (5). The injured persons namely Dilshad, Wasif, Sabir, Shoaib and Ali Muhammad were being provided medical aid in the hospital.
The victims were the residents of New Karachi and were on way to Sehwan.
