The Federal Board of Revenue has called Chief Commissioners conference, here on Tuesday (April 15) to review the performance of the Large Taxpayer Units (LTUs) and Regional Tax Offices (RTOs) in the presence of Finance Minister Ishaq Dar. The conference will finalise a dynamic strategy to achieve revenue collection target in the last quarter (April-June) 2013-14.
Sources told Business Recorder on Monday that Finance Minister Ishaq Dar is expected to chair the conference to be held at the FBR House. On coming back from Washington on Tuesday, it is expected that he would visit the FBR to review the revenue collection position and results of the on-going Prime Minister's tax incentive package. Chief Commissioners of LTUs and RTOs would explain their strategies for meeting the assigned target and collection of expected revenue in last three months of April, May and June 2014. Finance Ministry also wanted to know about the expected revenue collection in the last quarter of 2013-14.
