Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) Fata, Arbab Muhammad Arif while eulogising the services of Khyber Institute of Technical Education (KITE) has said the institute has a distinctive feature of serving the poor youth of KP and tribal areas. He said this while speaking at the ceremony held on Tuesday at KITE to award certificates to the successful students.
He said the institute is rendering invaluable services to the youth of KP and Fata by engaging them in positive activities. As many as 427 youth have completed six-month technical training in KITE Peshawar. Chairman KITE, Brigadier Abdul Naeem Bhatti, senior officers, relatives and students attended the impressive ceremony held at Corps Headquarters' Auditorium, Peshawar.
He said KITE is playing vital role by involving the unskilled youth in constructive and positive activities and urged the students to utilise their potential and knowledge for the well being of their families and prosperity of the country. He said the government is giving top priority to provide proper education to tribal students. "This training would enable the students to get jobs in public and private sectors besides setting up of their own businesses," he added.
He also lauded the welfare projects of Pakistan Army for the socio-economic and education uplift of Fata people. The students have completed their technical courses in land survey, mobile repair, X-rays, CT scan, MRI technology, solar panel, building electronics, office automation, air conditioned/refrigerator repairing, auto electricians and many other fields. The ACS Fata urged the students to take full advantage of their skills and knowledge provided to them for the bright future. On this occasion, equipment of different technical courses were also distributed among the position holders to enable them to set-up their own businesses.
