Terming the so-called formation of forward bloc within the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf, as a propaganda, former provincial minister and PTI provincial leader Shaukat Ali Yousafzai said that PTI workers are united under leadership of their party-chief Imran Khan, and categorically said that there was not established any forward bloc in the party.
He was speaking at Meet the press Program, organized by Peshawar Press Club here on Friday. Shaukat Yousafzai said that there were some reservation of the party activists, but it's totally wrong that those workers were disagreeing with some decisions of the party, would be stood against the party leadership.
About his removal from as provincial minister, Yousafzai said he is very happy to work as ordinary workers of the party. I am rendered numerous sacrifices for the party, therefore, the PTI leadership trusted upon him and assigned duties as minister of health and industries in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, he added. He claimed that he had played pivotal role in re-organising and strengthening the party, while for over decade long affiliation in the province. "I have always give importance to party over the major positions and ministries, he maintained."
Shaukat Yousafzai, who is also PTI member of provincial assembly said that the party has given me due status and privilege and expressed full confidence on the PTI Chief Imran Khan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervez Khattak. He said he is bounded to follow all decisions of the party.
About the measures taken in health sector during his tenure as minister, he said they had taken host of steps for brining reforms in health sector in a very short span of time. He explained that the establishment of insulin bank, free kidney transplant, free emergency service 72 hours in all major teaching hospitals, and up-gradation of facilities at casualty unit in Lady Reading Hospital, are the major achievement of his tenure.
Talking about the Sehat Ka Insaf program, the former minister said the drive was successfully carried out in the Peshawar, Mardan, Swabi and Charsadda, due to which WHO declared polio-free Peshawar, after testing water-sample there, which he termed as good sign and appreciable for the incumbent government in the province. Regarding the Peoples Primary Healthcare Initiative (PPHI) program, Yousafazai said that he always remained hostile against this PPHI program and I am still adamant on own stance, he added. Because, the former minister said the program is not efficiently performing, which is not best interest of people of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
