Provincial Minister for Education Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan has said that the workers of Pakistan Muslim League-N have the honour to struggle for the rule of law and enforcement of Islamic values in Pakistan during the dark period of dictatorship. He said that present government is making legislation to meet the requirements of Islamic welfare society in every walk of life. He said that credit to implement the Objectives Resolution in Pakistan will also go to PML-N.
He was addressing a convention on the topic of "Educational Challenges and their solution" organized by Pakistan Teachers Association at Hamdard Center here on Sunday.
He said that our young generation and teachers have great potential. Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan said that Pakistan is making rapid progress under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif. He said that no one has levelled any allegation of corruption against PML-N leadership during a year. He said that PML-N is working for strengthening the institutions. Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan said that government is working for the welfare of the people; therefore, there is no justification of protest rallies in the country. He said that present government is implementing policy of providing maximum relief to the teachers of public educational institutions. He said that Punjab government will achieve the target of 100 percent enrolment in all public and private schools in Punjab by 2016. He said that government has also started monitoring of private educational institutions whereas there was no regulation for private educational institutions in the past.
Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan said that on the special direction of Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, no transfer of teachers has been made on political basis. He said that one lakh 40 thousand teachers have been recruited purely on merit during last 14 months under Punjab Education Reforms and their pre-training service has been started. He told that federal government has decided to start uniform syllabus throughout the country. He told that Punjab government has allocated Rs 7.75 billion for providing missing facilities in government boy and girls schools this year.
President Teachers Association Pakistan Professor Dr Mian Muhammad Akram, President Punjab Professors & Lecturers Association Professor Dr Zahid Ahmed Sheikh, President Teachers Association Punjab Professor Shafique Ahmed, General Secretary Professor Rana Asghar Ali, Professor Rizwan-ul-Haq, Dr Muhammad Sharif and Aamir Jamat-e-Islami Punjab Dr Waseem Akhtar MPA also addressed the convention.
