The central leadership of Pakistan People's Party (PPP) has decided to give party ticket for the vacant Senate seat from Sindh to senior party leader Taj Haider. Informed sources told Business Recorder that the decision was taken during a party meeting held at Bilawal House recently.
PPP Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari had chaired the meeting which was attended by senior party leaders including Qaim Ali Shah, Khurshid Ahmed Shah, Nisar Ahmed Khuhro and others. They said that Taj Haider will submit his nomination paper to Provincial Election Commission, Sindh on Wednesday. The election on the seat will be held on June 5, 2014 at Sindh Assembly building.
