Misplaced bonds cancelled

According to Central Directorate of National Savings approximately 20,000 prize bonds of Rs 1,500/ denomination have misplaced during transfer from State Bank of Pakistan, Lahore to State Bank of Pakistan Karachi and the same have been cancelled by the State Bank of Pakistan. Therefore, bond and series number from AW-070001 to AW-090000 have not issued by the State Bank of Pakistan.
In this regard, Ministry of Finance while exercising its right as per Regulation No 4(1&2) of Prize Bond Rules 1999 cancelled all prize bonds of the said Sr. No through as gazette notification, and their circulation has been stopped. After the issuance of notice, the said bonds would neither be made part of any draw, nor be eligible for any payment or prize money.-PR
