Pakistan Army Major Jalal Khan Tareen was laid to rest in his native village Saigi in district Chaman on Thursday. He was martyred along with four other soldiers during an operation against terrorists in North Waziristan on Wednesday. According to Assistant Commissioner Qilla Abdullah Muhammad Ayub, body of the martyr officer was shifted from North Waziristan to Gulistan Saigi by a helicopter for burial purposes.
The funeral prayer for the martyr was attended by senior armed and government officials, and relatives of the deceased. On the occasion, security was beefed up to prevent any ugly incident.
