Inspector General of Police (IGP) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Nasir Khan Durrani has said all legal assistance would be provided to the gang raped victim and due punishment would be ensured to the rapists at all cost. He said this during his meeting with the raped victim, an FA student, and her family at Mansehra on Thursday.
The police chief assured the family that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police would provide them all possible co-operation in fighting their case and getting exemplary punishments for the culprits. Terming the victim cause as his own, the IGP also offered the victim's family that KP police was willing to engage lawyers/legal help for them.
Appreciating the IGP's concern and sympathy, the victim and her family expressed their gratitude to the KP police and expressed their satisfaction over the working of Mansehra police in connection with their case. On this occasion, the IGP reiterated his pledge that all available resources would be utilised to provide justice to the victim and no efforts would be spared to ensure due punishment to the accused.
