Prices moved both ways on the wholesale grain market on Thursday in the process of modest trading, dealers said. On the cereals side, Makai on the back of strong buying gained Rs 125 to Rs 2750 and 2775, Moong Punjab, however, lost Rs 2000 to Rs 11000, Moong Peshawar followed suit, losing Rs 750 to Rs 12250, other commodities maintained overnight levels, they added.
On the seeds side, cottonseeds oilcake with bag Sindh New low variety gained Rs 50 to Rs 1800 while the best type did not show any change at Rs 1850, they said. On the rice sector, Basmati D98 Shahdadkot low variety was inert at Rs 8500 while the best variety was lower by Rs 200 to Rs 8800, other types maintained overnight levels, they said.
