Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's decision of accepting the Indian invitation to attend the oath-taking ceremony of India's Prime Minister-elect Narendra Modi but 'one can't attach much hope from the new Indian government'.
Talking to media persons after attending the 'Dastar Bandi' at Jamia Qasimul Uloom here on Sunday, Maulana Fazl said that Narendra Modi has invited Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to attend the inaugural ceremony which was a positive move but "we have to look into the priorities, strategies and policies of the BJP-led government towards Pakistan".
He said the Gwadar Port not only hold importance for Pakistan but all countries of the region. It will play role in enhancing the trade activities which will also help in strengthening the economy of the country, he added.
The JUI-F chief said it seemed so that PTI Chairman Imran Khan was backed by some hidden forces. Raising hue and cry over rigging in polls after one year was worthless practice, he maintained.
