Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry (WCCI) Peshawar in collaboration with Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority, Community Research and Development, organized a training session on leadership for women entrepreneurs here on Monday.
The training workshop on titled "Economic Revival in KP and Fata", which was attended by women entrepreneurs', participated. During the workshop, the trainers informed the women participants about better management and planning for promotion of businesses and development of market linkages. They stressed the need for proper housework and planning before the initiation of any micro level businesses.
On the occasion, an official of Smeda, Rashid Aman, briefed the participants about revitalisation of economy in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and tribal region. He lauded that women businesspersons are much resilient, which were continued their businesses, despite all odds, and prevailing poor law and order situation in KP and Fata. He said the Smeda has been making active efforts for further support for development of businesses and economic recovery the province.
Shah Khalid, an official from CRDO while explaining about the leadership development and appraised the women participants about different tools and methods of business development. He stressed the business women should be kept focus on market, to easily establish their businesses with better linkages. The CRDO official further emphasised the women entrepreneurs should also keep in mind local traditions, cultures and other norms, which could be helpful to promote their businesses and getting market access to their products.
