Grams rates fall on grain market

Grams prices were down on the wholesale grain market on Wednesday owing to easy supply ahead of Ramazan but demand was low as compared with the last years, dealers said. On the grams side, grams Australia No 1 was lower by Rs 100 to Rs 5000, grams Dall Australia No 2 shed the same amount to Rs 5550, grams 50x50 lost Rs 200 to Rs 4900, grams Dall 50x50 also dropped by same amount to Rs 5500, yellow peas Russia fell by Rs 100 to Rs 4600 and yellow peas dall Russia shed the same amount to Rs 5100, they said.
On the seeds side, cottonseeds oilcake with bag Sindh new low type slipped by Rs 50 to Rs 1800 while the best type was unchanged at Rs 1900, other items showed stable trend due to balanced demand and supply, they said. Prices were unmoved on the cereals and rice sectors, they said.
