Call to utilise national resources equitably

Punjab Finance Minister Mujtaba Shujaur Rehman has said that there is need to utilise national resources equitably for setting up of a peaceful society and economic prosperity of the masses. He expressed these views while presiding over a meeting regarding Punjab Rozgar Bank (PRB) to finalise the structure and institutional framework for launching of PRB on Thursday.
Officials of Finance and Industries departments, Presidents of Bank of Punjab and Silk Bank and Chairman Akhuwat Dr Amjad Saqib attended the meeting. The Minister said basic purpose of welfare programmes of Punjab government is to mitigate the hardships and sufferings of extremely poor families and provide them maximum relief. He also said in order to provide quality health facilities to poor families health insurance scheme was being launched in four districts (Chakwal, Hafizabad, Layyah and Rajanpur) initially. Under health insurance scheme, insurance cards will be issued to poor families to avail modern treatment facilities at free of cost, he added.
