Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has directed that all necessary steps should be taken for further improving law and order situation in the province. He issued these directives while presiding over a high level meeting here on Monday convened to review the overall law and order situation in the province.
Inspector General Police and Secretary Home gave a detailed briefing with regard to law and order situation in the province. Provincial Ministers Rana Sanaullah, Col. Shuja Khanzada (Retd) Chief Secretary, Inspector General Police, Secretary Home and concerned officials attended the meeting.
Addressing the meeting, Shahbaz Sharif directed that all necessary steps should be taken for further improving law and order situation. He said that all concerned institutions should keep close liaison with each other regarding law and order situation. He said that police should perform its duties devotedly and efficiently for the protection of life and property of the people. He directed that an effective monitoring of the entry and exit points of the province should be carried out. He warned that no negligence with regard to maintenance of law and order will be tolerated.
