Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif while meeting with a delegation of Turkish Group Kiler Holding headed by its Chairman Nahit Kiler here on Monday has said that a conducive atmosphere for investment has been created in the province and due to investment friendly policies of the government, a number of foreign companies are making huge investment in the province.
Investment in energy, construction, transport, retail super store and other sectors in Pakistan, especially in Punjab, were discussed. Additional Chief Secretary Energy, Secretary Transport, DG LDA, Chairman Punjab Information Technology Board and concerned officials were present on the occasion.
The CM said modern cleanliness system has been introduced in Lahore with the collaboration of Turkish companies and scope of this system is being expanded to other big cities of the province. He also said a splendid project of metro bus has been completed in the provincial metropolis in a record period with the collaboration of Turkish companies.
He invited Turkish investors to make investment in Punjab and they will be provided all-out facilities. He said there are deep cultural, historical and brotherly relations between Pakistan and Turkey and people of both the countries are very close to each other.
According to Shahbaz, a modern hospital constructed by Turkey in South Punjab is a unique gift by the Government of Turkey for the Pakistan. Tayyip Erdogan Hospital will soon become operational and latest medical facilities will be available to the people. Construction work of state-of-the-art school has been completed in district Muzaffargarh with the co-operation of Turkey. A number of Turkish companies are working jointly with Punjab government and metro bus project is an excellent example of Pak-Turk friendship.
Shahbaz further said the friendship of both the countries has transformed into strong economic relations and trade co-operation. The friendship between Pakistan and Turkey is increasing with the passage of every moment. Although Turkish companies are making investment in Punjab, however, if Kiler Holding Group is willing to invest in Punjab, it will be provided every possible facility, he added.
Shahbaz said the Punjab government is also working on low cost housing schemes and Turkish investors can cooperate in this project. The members of the Turkish delegation said they are interested to invest in different sectors of Punjab and their group has expertise in e-governance. They further said they will cooperate with Punjab government in the promotion of e-governance. Those including in the delegation of Turk investors included Vice Chairman Group Umit Kiler and Group Advisor Rasim Kaan Aytogu.
