The federal government has allocated Rs 3900.168 million for Interior Division for fiscal year 2014-15 under Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) to improve the affiliated organisations, law and order situation and for development projects, including the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT). Rupees 1165.018 million has been allocated for 63 new schemes, while Rs 2735.150 million will be spent on 75 ongoing schemes.
The government has allocated 863.079 million for Machine Readable Passports/visas project (Phase-II) all over Pakistan, besides setting aside Rs 200 for provision of security infrastructure in the districts of Malakand and Swat and other conflict-hit areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhawa and Rs 106.418 million for Integrated Border Management System (IBMS). As much as Rs 200 million will be spent on the construction of accommodation for Sui Rifles FC Balochistan, Rs 100 million has been allocated for establishment of National Forensic Science Agency and Islamabad laboratory, and Rs 100 has been budgeted for Safe City project.
The government allocated Rs 100 million for construction of model prison Islamabad, Rs 100 for establishment of model police station in ICT, Rs 80 million for construction of accommodation for Abdullah Shah Ghazi Rangers at Karachi, Rs 78.940 million National Response Centre for Cyber Crimes, Rs 61.510 for construction of accommodation for HQ 2 wing Chenab rangers at village Ratta Arrian Tehsil and District Sialkot, Rs 60 million for Islamabad Development Package (IDP), Rs 58.037 million for Pakistan automated Fingerprints Identification System Phase-II and Rs 52.339 million for improvement of security arrangement of Iqbal line and brewery camp HQ.
In the budget 2014-15, Rs 41.367 million was allocated for construction of wing office, quarter guard, JCOs Miss and Accn, etc, for HQ GB scouts and 113 wing at Gilgit , Rs 36.5 million for construction of model prison Islamabad (PC-II, design construction), Rs 33.989 million for acquisition of private land for border out post , Sialkot, Rs 32.481 million for Raising of Balochistan Constabulary Balochistan and Rs 31.518 million for construction of hospital for GB scouts garrison at Minawar Gilgit.
The government allocated Rs 27.521 million for rehabilitation/construction of 6 km roads in rural areas of Islamabad, Rs 25.00 for construction of 15 houses for superintendents of police in police lines Headquarters, Rs 25.00 million for construction of non residential buildings and other facilities for force headquarters GB, Rs 25 million for construction of additional wing Accn for Dir scouts, Rs 25 million for construction of mechanical transport sheds to protect vehicles at each wing of headquarter of Pakistan Rangers, Rs 25 million for construction of police station at Markaz sector I-16 Islamabad, Rs 24.320 for acquisition of land for construction/establishment of force headquarter Gilgit-Baltistan scouts and Rs 21.614 million for construction of SM Bks or married Accn.
