A fire broke out on 5th floor of Foreign Office building on Friday due to short-circuiting and building partially damage. The fire broke out in a room at around 9:30 pm. Soon after the fire broke out the CDA fire brigade reached the site and after a brief operation the fire fighters extinguished the fire. The cause of the fire was said to be a short-circuiting. However, no casualties reported in the incident.
According to Foreign Office spokesperson, there was no damage to personnel and documents. The Special Assistant to the Prime Minister and Foreign Secretary were present on the spot to assess the situation.
