At least 12 people were killed and more than 50 others injured on Sunday in separate road accidents in different parts of the country. At least eight people including four children were killed when a vehicle plunged into a ravine near Lower Dir's Bandi Pull in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Sunday morning.
Police said that the incident occurred due to reckless driving, which killed eight persons on board, who were on way from Maidan to Timargrah. The bodies have been shifted to Timargrah Hospital.
One person was killed and 14 others injured when a passenger bus overturned due to over-speeding in Toba Tek Singh.
A road accident took place in Pindi Bhattian town of Punjab's Hafizabad district where a bus overturned on the Motorway. Three women were killed and four other passengers were injured.
In another incident, at least eight people were injured when the driver lost control of a vehicle which capsized near Athara Hazari Chowk in Jhang district.
Police personnel and rescue teams immediately reached the site of the incident and shifted the injured to a nearby hospital.
In Balochistan, at least twenty-five people were injured when a passenger bus overturned on the Coastal Highway in Hub district.
Several vehicles collided with the bus which met the accident reportedly due to over-speeding. The injured, including women and children, most of them with broken arms and legs, were shifted to different hospitals in Karachi. Edhi sources said the passenger bus was on way from Gawadar to Karachi.
