The Directorate of Health Services (DHS), Capital Development Authority (CDA) is committed to show zero tolerance against food handlers who are selling sub-standard and unhygienic food stuff to customers.
An official of the DHS told APP that the health department of the civic body is vigorously active to eliminate the availability of sub-standard, adulterated and un-hygienic food stuff from the most of the hotels and food stalls of the capital city. "DHS has been carrying out its successful campaign against sub-standard and un-hygienic edibles in the city for quite some time," he informed adding that the campaign has also given fruitful results.
To a question about action taken against such violators, the official stated that strict actions on the spot as per law, is taken against them under the principles of public health and other relevant laws.
