London: European stock markets fell further Tuesday on Italy's political chaos, with Milan's FTSE MIB index shedding 1.73 percent to 21,554.16 points compared with Monday' close.
Elsewhere in the eurozone, Frankfurt's DAX 30 dropped 0.6 percent to 12,786.15 points and the Paris CAC 40 lost 0.8 percent to 5,466.48.
London's benchmark FTSE 100 index, which was closed Monday for a UK public holiday, opened with a loss of 0.6 percent to 7,684.14 points.
