Scotland Yard Wednesday announced scrapping the investigations against Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain for 'inciting violence', a private TV reported here on Wednesday. According to a statement issued here, Scotland Yard stated that Altaf Hussain's (Teen Talwar) speech did not have anything that goes against the UK laws.
On the other hand, Crown Prosecution Service said that they did not have enough evidence to establish a case against Altaf Hussain for 'inciting violence', announcing that there will be 'no further action' against Altaf Hussain on the speeches made after May 11 elections. They said complaints had been received on Altaf Hussain's speech delivered at Teen Talwar publice meeting in Karachi. Special crime and Operation officers had reviewed the speeches of London based MQM leader and found nothing against the UK laws.
