JUI-F Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has rejected the provincial budget and termed it a jugglery of words, saying the people have given no relief in it. The provincial spokesman JUI-F, Abdul Jalil Jan, said that it was prepared and presented in haste. Terming merely 10 percent increase in salaries as sheer injustice with government employees, he said.
He said the government had failed in announcing service structure for doctors. He said that the budget is Rs 30 billion deficit and through increase in the ratio of tax it had staged the drama of tax free budget, which is a sheer injustice with the people of the province.
But, on the other hand the provincial secretary information PTI MNA, Ayesha Gulalai, has said that the provincial government has presented better people welfare-oriented budget in the limited resources of the province. She said that the purpose of criticism on the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa budget is the befooling of the people. She said that the welfare budget of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa reflects the priorities of the provincial government.
Ayesha said that with presenting of people-friendly budget the PTI government has fulfilled its commitment and has introduced cash card scheme for poor families. Under the scheme, she said a hefty amount of Rs 6 billion will be spent on poor families.
