KP Chief Minister Pervez Khattak while strongly condemning wild use of force by the government of Punjab against the peaceful demonstrators of Pakistan Awami Tehrik (PAT) in Model Town, Lahore has termed it worst tyrannical and bloody act of a democratic government.
In a condemnation statement, he said the killing of dozens of people including women and injuring hundreds and their arrest in a humiliating manner is tantamount to hatching of conspiracy for introducing of a brutality during a democratic government, which will not be tolerated by the democratic people.
The chief minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa warned the government of Punjab to stop cruelties and playing with the life and properties of the people through police force. Otherwise, he said it bear negative and dangerous impacts on democracy. He said that on this cruelty and excesses the people of Punjab will never forgive their murderer rulers. Pervez Khattak said that peaceful protest in democratic culture is the legal and constitutional right of the people and the precedent of their deprivation from this right and the shedding of their blood had come in forefront for time in the civilised world.
He said that the government of Punjab besides, Lahorits should tender apology to the whole nation and not only redress the each drop of the blood of affectees, but also their wounds and grievances and tender resignation on the call of their conscious.
