Over Rs 220 billion Balochistan Budget for fiscal year 2014-15 will be tabled in the Balochistan Assembly on Thursday (today). Speaker Mir Jan Muhammad Khan Jamali has summoned the assembly session on June 18 on the requisition of the members of Balochistan Assembly.
Provincial Information Minister, Abdul Raheem Ziaratwal said that annual budget of Balochistan for next financial year 2014-15 would be over Rs 220 billion including Rs 45 to 50 billion of Public Sector Development Programme. He said that remaining allocations of the budget would be for non-development programs and sectors. He said that the allocations for education sector in the upcoming budget would be more than 25 percent in comparison with allocations of current year's budget. He said that adequate and special allocations had been made for law and order, agriculture and health sectors, potable water scheme, livestock, fisheries, production and other important sectors.
