A three-member Supreme Court bench on Wednesday adjourned the proceedings of a petition filed by Geo TV. During the course of proceedings, Akram Sheikh, the counsel for Geo, told the court that as many as 45 cases against Geo are pending in different courts across the country.
He submitted to the court that all the cases be clubbed together. The bench adjourned till June 25. Justice Khawaja observed that it would be better if the relevant high courts could be given an opportunity to hear the cases filed against Geo in different trial courts. The bench also directed all four Advocates General to assist the court in the matter.
