Pakistan Industrial and Traders Associations Front (PIAF) and Lahore Township Industries Association (LTIA) have decided to make joint efforts to deal with the economic challenge. The decision was made at a meeting presided over by Chairman PIAF Malik Tahir Javed on Wednesday. Chairman LTIA Chaudhry Zaheer Bhutta and a large number of businessmen were present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Chairman PIAF Malik Tahir Javed said the country was passing through a critical time of history because of energy crisis, law and order situation and various internal and external challenges. He said that anarchy like situation and recent sad incident has aired a negative signal to the foreign investors. He said the situation demands that all segments of society including businessmen and politicians, should expressed harmony to cope with the challenges being faced by the country.
He urged the political parties' leaders to solve all the issues through table talks that would give a clear message to the international community that Pakistan is a democratic country in true sense of word. Chairman PIAF said that Pakistani business community wants to play its due role in economic development of the country but various challenges are coming in the way. He said the government should take measures on war footing to create a business friendly atmosphere to excel the economic activities.
