Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah has expressed serious concerns over the Lahore incident and said the incident was tragic and the probe should be conducted and real culprits should be punished. He said this while speaking during his visit to Hazarat Shahbaz Lal Qalandar on closing ceremony of 762 three-day Urs here on Thursday.
"People have given mandate to political government and it should be given the constitutional tenure of five years to run government," he said. The people have always done better justice, he said while quoting Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto. Reply to a question, he said that the death of people occurred because of rising temperature during three-day Urs of Qalandar Shahbaz as media had already reported the same.
"Besides, we did not receive any complaint so far against district administration regarding mismanagement," he said. However, if there was a need to hold probe in mismanagement of district management, it would be held later. He said that the change could be possible after five years tenure of the current government and only through vote.
Earlier, he paid a visit to shrine of Shahbaz Lal Qalandar where he offered Fateh and also laid floral wrath on the shrine. Moreover, he also distributed clothes among poor women there. Later, he also visited medical campus set up outside the shrine.
