On Friday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange (PMEX) value traded more than doubled as compared to Thursday, with an increase of 115.12 percent to PKR 6.15 billion from PKR 2.86 billion recorded a day ago. Number of lots traded was reported at 22,211, up by 42 percent and PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,059, up by 0.66 percent. Major business was contributed by gold amounting to PKR 4.3 billion, followed by crude oil (PKR 1.5 billion) and silver (PKR 324 million).
While there was 339 percent increase in gold volume to PKR 4.3 billion from PKR 987 million, there was also 462 percent increase in silver volume to PKR 324 million from PKR 57 million.
