In spite of a lapse of more than a month, 13 officers of Planning and Development (P&D) department are still working on senior posts on OPS (Own-Pay-Scale) basis in sheer violation of the Supreme Court's verdict, it was learnt here on Monday.
Following the verdict of apex court, Sindh's P&D authorities had instructed department's 13 junior officers, who were working on senior positions in other departments on Own-Pay-Scale (OPS), to immediately report to their parent departments. On May 20 this year, the P&D authorities with the consent of Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah had issued letters to 13 junior officers who were posted on senior positions in Sukkur, Larkana, Hyderabad, Matiari, Tando Allahyar and other cities, asking them to come back and join their parent department, sources said.
However, none of them have responded to the directives of P&D department's authority. Meanwhile, sources claimed that although some 25 officers are working on senior positions on OPS basis within the P&D in other departments, the authorities concerned identified only 13 officers.
