Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain has strongly condemned the diversion of Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) leader Tahirul Qadri's flight from Islamabad to Lahore. Welcoming a party leader on his return to the country Altaf Hussain said holding processions and rallies is a democratic right of the people, adding that using power against anyone or denying them this right is undemocratic.
Altaf Hussain said that the government is crushing its opposition during the time when the Pakistan Army is at war against terrorists and the country needs to be united.
