Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has taken notice of increase in the prices of essential items before Ramazan and directed Provincial Cabinet Committee on Price Control to visit vegetables markets and bazaars for stabilising prices. He said that sale of daily use items at excessive rate will not be tolerated.
He directed administration to ensure provision of articles of daily use to the citizens at the fixed rate. The Chief Minister directed that the Cabinet Committee, concerned departments and district administration should play their role for stabilising prices. He said that concerned authorities should pay regular visits to markets and bazaars to ensure provision of essential items to the citizens at the fixed rate. He said that in case of complaints of overcharging from any area, concerned officials will not be spared.
