At least three people were killed and four others injured in different incidents of violence while police claimed to have arrested three criminals, here on Thursday. According to police and rescue sources, an alleged dacoit was killed by citizens in Orangi Town in the jurisdictions of Peerabad police station. Police said that the accused was busy in robbing people, when citizens managed to catch him and tortured him severely. Later he succumbed to his injuries.
The body was shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK) for medico-legal formalities. In another incident, a man was shot and killed by unidentified persons in Gosht Market in Malir. The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center (JPMC) for medico-legal formalities. A tortured boy of a man aged between 40 to 45 years old was recovered from Janjal Goth, Gulshan-e-Memar. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for post-mortem.
Ali Akbar, 20, son of Osman was shot and injured by unidentified person in MPR colony. He was rushed to ASH for medical assistance. In another case, Yaseen son of Gul Hussan, Amanat son of Hashim and Hamid son of Gul Hassan were injured by unknown people in New Sabzi Mandi. Sources said they were robbers and trying to snatch mobiles and others valuables from people in the area, however they were caught and tortured by unidentified persons. The injured were moved to ASH for treatment.
Meanwhile, Anti Extremist Cell of CID Karachi claimed to have arrested three criminals from Nashtar Road, Shoe Market in the jurisdictions of Garden police station. Three TT pistols along with several rounds were recovered from their possession. The accused were Shahabuddin, Ahad Umar, and Muhammad Sulaiman.
