Provincial Minister for Education, Sports, Law and Tourism Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan said Punjab government vows to focus on establishing gymnasia and sports complexes in all 137 tehsils of the province in the days to come. "The government has already provided these sports facilities at district level while establishment of sports academies in all districts and a state-of-the-art sports' university in Lahore is also on the cards," he said during a meeting with the British educationist Anna Kizirian and Bendon Wignall who called on him at Assembly Chambers, here today.
Chairperson Child Protection Bureau Punjab Saba Sadiq, physical education expert Shahzad Ahmad, Director General Sports Punjab Usman Anwar and Director General Protocol Asjad Ghani Tahir were present on the occasion.
Welcoming the British educationists on study tour of Pakistan, Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan lauded the passion of Anna Kizirian for promotion of education in the rural Punjab and said the plan to establish school of international standard in Muridke Country Club by the veteran British educationist was a good omen for us. Mrs Anna Kizirian informed the Minister that the school will occupy 650 students along with a golden house and the project is spread over 300 kanal of land.
