These drinks help the person to improve his/her immune system during the hot days of Ramazan. Following are recipes of exotic and refreshing home made juices and delicious drinks to energize your body this Ramazan.
Red Apple Juice
Ingredients:
1-Red Apple--1
2-Raisins or Munakka-4 to 5
3-Water--200ml
Method:
Peel and cut apple in small pieces. Wash raisins Boil water in a pot. Add raisins. Let it boil again 2 to 3 times. Now add apple pieces in it. Remove from the flame. Cover the lid. Let it cool then strain the juice. Keep in the refrigerator. Add crushed ice before serving. ( one glass).
Rose Petal Sherbat
Ingredients:
1- Dry rose petals-- 1 cup
2- Saffron---few strands
3- Honey---2 tablespoon
4- Water---- 250ml
Method:
Boil water in a pot. Remove from the stove. Add rose petals and saffron and cover the lid. Strain the juice after saffron completely leave its color in water. Add honey and stir to mix. Add crushed ice before serving.
Lemon-Ginger Fizz
Ingredients:
-Fresh ginger---50g (roughly chopped)
-Castor sugar---300g
-Lemons------2 medium size (sliced) plus extra to serve
-Water------200ml
Method:
Place the ginger, sugar and lemon slices in a pan with water. Bring to the boil, then cook until the sugar dissolves. Take off the heat, leave to cool, then press through a strainer. To serve, pour into a glass and top up with extra lemon slices.
Apricot Sherbat
Ingredients:
-Dried apricot--4 medium size
-Green cardamom--2
-Water---200ml
Method:
Soak apricots in hot water for over night. In the morning add cardamom powder and castor sugar. Stir well until sugar dissolved. Strain the juice and serve chilled.
Dates Juice
Ingredients:
-Dates --1/2 cup ( seedless)
-Milk---1 cup
-Honey-- according to taste
Method:
Combine dates, milk and honey in a blender. Blend well. Pour it in a serving glass. Served chilled.
