A sessions court here on Monday dismissed a petition seeking registration of a murder case against Punjab Chief Minister, former law minister Rana Sanaullah Khan, IGP Mushtaq Sukhera and others over the Lahore killings. Muhammad Nauman filed a petition and alleged that the chief executive of the province, the then law minister and IGP were directly involved in the killing of innocent people outside the Minhajul Quran's secretariat in Lahore's Model Town.
He urged the court to order the police to book the respondents under murder charges. Faisal Town station house officer in his report told the court that a tribunal of Lahore High Court was holding an inquiry into the incident. He said an action would be taken in light of the recommendations of the judicial tribunal.
