Al-Khidmat Foundation (AKF) distributed Ramazan Food Package worth millions of rupees in 500 migrated families from North Waziristan, which are now living in Bannu city and its surrounding localities. The package besides flour, ghee, rice, pulses, black tea and other food items is also comprised clothes and shoes.
The chief guest of the Ramazan Food Package was central president, Al-Khidmat Foundation, Professor Dr Hafeez-ur-Rehman, while central secretary information, Jamaat-i-Islami, Ameer-ul-Azeem, Acting president AKF, KP Shakir Siddiqui and other office bearers of the foundation were also present.
Addressing the ceremony, Professor Dr Hafeez-ur-Rehman said the foundation is busy in provision of relief to the affected persons of North Waziristan operation. In this connection, he said the workers of Al-Khidmat Foundation and Jamaat-i-Islami are extending all possible assistance to their brothers from Waziristan. He told the IDPs' families that they are their guests and fully aware of their losses, saying the whole nation is standing by them. He vowed that the foundation will continue its relief activities till their rehabilitation.
