Bahria Town chairman Malik Riaz on Sunday urged the government to give Bahria Town administration the responsibility of one lakh Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs), vowing to arrange proper care. He said the government is doing its part but people have to step forward too, adding that over 55,000 bags of food are ready.
Addressing a press conference in Islamabad, Riaz said that supporting the brothers and sisters of North Waziristan is their duty, adding that the access to IDPs for support has not been provided to Bahria Town administration yet. He urged the government to give access to the IDPs so that the relief work could begin, adding that his group is capable to take complete care of a hundred thousand people. Malik Riaz said that a mobile hospital for medical facility of the IDPs is also arranged. He said that Bahria Town will assist in developing a model village in North Waziristan upon return of IDPs, adding that a field hospital and roads will also be constructed.-PR
