Leaders of Pakhtuns Mili Awami Party (PkMAP) urged the Federal and provincial governments to increase into the announced relief package for internally displaced people from North Waziristan Agency and demanding to set-up additional registration and food distribution points, to ease the miseries of internally dislocated people. The demand was made by (PkMAP) Central secretary Arbab Mujeeb Ur Rahman, while addressing a news conference at Peshawar Press Club on Tuesday.
He strongly supported the ongoing military operation against militants groups in North Waziristan Agency. He, however, asked the government to make sufficient arrangements to maximum facilitate the internally dislocated people from the tribal agency. Rahman observed that the successive governments had failed to wipe out militants network, rooted in Federally Administrated Tribal Areas, and establish sustainable peace in the country. He said the innocent tribesmen have become hostage by a group of militant, which were easily carrying out their activities to terrorise people in the country and neighbouring Afghanistan.
PkMAP leader said the terrorists even not spared mosques, traditional Qaumi hujras, playgrounds, government and security installations, in which a large number of innocent people had killed. He urged the government and security forces to continue the ongoing military operation, till the complete elimination of last terrorists in tribal region.
Accompanied by the party provincial senior secretary Bahramand Mohmand, Mir Kalam Wazir, Abdul Hai Wazir and others leaders, Rahman asked the registration and food distribution process should be stopped through mobile system, demanded the government to set-up additional registration and food distribution points to ease the miseries of internally displaced people from NWA and also ensure distribution of financial aid at their makeshift camps. PkMAP general secretary also demanded the IDPs camp should be exempted from electricity loadshedding and asked to take steps for availability of sufficient of cold drinking water, provision of gas-cylinder and stove. He urged the provincial and Federal government to make increase into the announced relief package for internally displaced people of the NWA. The government should also appeal from international donor agencies for the IDPs he demanded.
