The Lahore High Court here on Wednesday dismissed a petition challenging the Pakistan Protection Bill 2014. The petitioner said that Pakistan Protection Bill was against the fundamental rights of the citizen. He said under the said bill, any citizen could be kept under custody without any lawful reason. The petitioner apprehended that the bill would be misused. A law officer, however, opposed the petition and termed it not maintainable. The court dismissed the petition.
