Ex-chief secretary Fazalur Rehman sworn in as Sindh caretaker CM
Former Chief Secretary Fazalur Rahman took on Saturday oath as the caretaker chief minister (CM) of Sindh.
The oath was administered by Sindh Governor Mohammad Zubair in a ceremony, which was held at the Sindh Governor House. The governor felicitated the caretaker CM and hoped that he would perform his responsibility.
Earlier, former CM Murad Ali Shah and former leader of the opposition Khwaja Izharul Hasan unanimously announced Rahman as their nominee for the caretaker CM. Rahman has also served as the Sindh chief secretary between 2005 and 2010.
Meanwhile, Punjab, Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are yet to decide their caretaker CMs. The ruling government completed its tenure on May 31, after which the caretaker setup assumes its responsibility.
Caretaker PM Nasirul Mulk has already been sworn in as the PM on Friday.
