Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Tuesday called on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and discussed with him the ongoing military operation Zarb-e-Azb in North Waziristan Agency (NWA) and the issue of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs). The meeting held at PM House during which they reviewed arrangements made for facilitating the IDPs.
On the occasion, the Minister also briefed the Prime Minister about the measures taken in order to deal with a possible reaction to the offensive in North Waziristan by the militants. The Prime Minister vowed that the government would provide every possible assistance to the IDPs and would not leave them alone in this difficult time. Moreover, he also ordered release of another Rs 1 billion for providing relief to the IDPs.
