Federal Minister for States and Frontier Regions (Safron) Lieutenant General Abdul Qadir Baloch (Retd) has said the government is well aware of the condition of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) from the North Waziristan Agency (NWA) and it is utilising all available resources for mitigating their sufferings. He expressed these views while talking to media persons here at Mamsh Khail Camp on Tuesday when he was on a visit to the IDPs camps.
"We are leaving no stone un-turned in providing relief to the displaced persons from the NWA and in this regard the role of Pakistan Army is commendable," he said, adding that due to the effective military's role, the government task had become easier. He said the government would not relax until the settlement of the last displaced person as the process of their registration and provision of food, medicines and other items continued with the help of military.
Baloch said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif gave him the responsibility of IDPs which showed the PM's confidence upon Safron Ministry and in response the Ministry was also doing its best to meet the task in a befitting manner. "The people of NWA are the guardians of our frontiers," the minister added. The minister went around at a camp in Data Khail and heard the problems faced by displaced persons. He also distributed relief goods among them. The minister was accompanied by MNA Marvi Memon, MNA from NWA Nazir Khan and MNA from South Waziristan Ghalib Khan. Major General Akhtar Jamil Rao was also present on the occasion.
