Seasoned banker and currently Head of Payment Services, Habib Bank Ltd, Faiq Sadiq joined Youth Impact as Chairman Board of Advisors. Youth Impact, a not-for-profit company, is a leadership training firm, which pioneered wilderness based youth leadership trainings in Pakistan with its flagship programme, Markhor, which has become a hit among students of leading educational institutes.
Speaking at the ceremony, Naseem Zafar Iqbal, Chairman Board of Directors at Youth Impact appraised the volunteering spirit of Faiq Sadiq and urged the corporate world to take step in the social development of Pakistan. According to Naseem, Youth Impact has envisioned to train and develop 10,000 certified young social leaders in Pakistan by the year 2025.
CEO of Youth Impact, Abdul Samad Khan offered words of thanks to Faiq Sadiq, Naseem Zafar Iqbal and other dignitaries present in the ceremony. Faiq Sadiq, who has served in the banking sector abroad for more than two decades, returned to Pakistan with the passion to play his role in helping out Pakistani nation in general and the youth in particular to face modern day challenges. His passion for developing youth has paved his ways to join Youth Impact, which he thinks is the dynamic and result-oriented platform for this purpose.
Faiq Sadiq, who has joined Youth Impact with his vast experience and learning, says he wants to play his role for the betterment of our youth for a brighter future. "There is an inherent need for the corporate and youth development sector to work side by side for the development of society. By placing our trust in the next generation of young leaders coming out, we can achieve sustained growth and social entrepreneurship. There are various examples like Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation's world-wide Volunteer Programme who encourage the youth to come forward and embrace their leadership qualities."
Youth Impact is a not-for-profit organisation that specialises in Youth Leadership Trainings in Pakistan. The unique learning programme of Youth Impact capitalises upon the wilderness education and experiential learning methodology. During last two years, more than 10,000 youth have been trained all across Pakistan. In 2013, Youth Impact launched Markhor - Pakistan's first wilderness based youth leadership conference, in which more than 100 youth from all over Pakistan came together and camped in the wilderness.-PR
